Long time ago, when I was young and still in high school, once I stroll around (then) Plaza Indonesia shopping mall, one stop at a small book shop. I'm drawn to a comic called Witchblade (1st issue)on display, and amazed of the beauty of the cover, I wonder who is the artist that graced the cover, and more in awe when I look inside, flipping page by page. Upon further read I found out it is drawn by an up and coming artist Michael Turner. Since then he becomes one of my favorite comic artist and quite influental at my early career.
Unfortunately, early this week I just found out that he just passed away, because of his long time battle with the cancer since his early Aspen days....Gone at the young age of 37, which is I felt very unfair.
